Chapter 28 (Tetris) - New Hair Dos

Nicole woke up from a sound sleep when she heard the sharp howling from fighting cats.  Was something attacking Winnie? She jumped out of bed and raced outside.

Ah, it was Tigger, playing with his sister Winnie.  The last she'd seen of him, Marissa Fancey had adopted him.  Whyever was he on the streets?

"How have you been, Tigger?" she asked, gently petting his head and trying to lure him inside.

"MOM GUESS WHAT!" Reversi shouted, surprising both her mom and the hesitant cat.

Quickly, Tigger darted away, scared off by the loud, boisterous blonde girl.

Feeling pumped from such high grades, Reversi decided to pass some time messing around with that weird trauma unit machine they had upstairs.

Unfortunately, Qbert was not doing as well as his older sister in school.

Tetris waited while the girls discussed newest fashions.  He had to admit, their new hair did look nice!  (I downloaded Spookymuffin's Bulk Default Hair Project)

"Have a good day at school, squirt," Nicole kissed her son goodbye.

"Hey, I came to walk you to school. What was that guy doing over here?" BJ asked, hitching a thumb over his shoulder and indicating the newspaper boy.

"Nothing! Geez! Jealous much?" Reversi asked with annoyance.  "Get off!"

"What! I was just asking!" BJ replied angrily. 

"Look, my bus is here. I'll see you at school," she said dismissively.

She still liked BJ, but she didn't like how needy he was being.

"So, we have the house to ourselves," Nicole pointed out seductively.

"Hi Nicole! How have you been?" Sookie asked, greeting her sister-in-law.  "We brought Qbert's birthday present! Where do you want us to put it?"

Qbert made his birthday wish and closed his eyes.  Batman Build-a Blocks! Please let them have bought him the Batman Build-a Blocks!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

It's a good thing his parents didn't buy him Batman Build-a-Blocks.  Suddenly, Q-bert was feeling a little bit too old for that kind of thing.

Don't judge her harshly Nicole. You never know how you'll react when you're an elder!

Tetris and his brother-in-law David Ottomas share a lively debate while Sookie rolls her eyes at them nearby.

"Hey! Long time no see," Reversi greeted the newspaper boy with a smile.

He went to clasp her hand, and then laughed when she pulled it away at the last minute.  "I fall for that every time!" he told her.  "So, was that your boyfriend the other morning? He looked mad."

Reversi shrugged.  "He's not my boyfriend."

"Good news!" he told her.

"Why? Are you looking to fill the position?" she asked with a wink.

After school, Q-bert was working hard on befriending Nerissa.  She actually came home with his sister to do some school work, but she seemed happy enough to spend time with him.

"Wanna come inside?" he finally worked up the courage to ask.

"I thought you'd never ask!" Nerissa exclaimed.  "It's so cold out here!"

Reversi scoffed as she checked out Nerissa's super short skirt and skimpy tank top.  Maybe you wouldn't be so cold if you put some clothes on.

"Call me sometime, baby," Tetris cat-called his wife.

Q-bert nuzzled Nerissa's neck and thought the time was right for his first kiss.

Nerissa had other ideas.

Lamely, Q-bert made an excuse that he needed to do his homework and sent her home, heart-broken.  With a heavy sigh, he sat down and pulled out his notebook. 

Nicole was pleased to see her friend Denene walk by.  "Love your new hairdo, lady!" she called out in greeting.

Denene fluffed her hair. "Thanks! You too!"

Nicole invited her in and did some catching up.  She loved their new sitting room!

Since his wife was busy gabbing with her friend, Tetris decided to work on dinner. Winnie kept a watchful eye on him.

No fires on her watch!

The teens both kept busy skilling.

Q-bert deecided not to chastise Winnie when he caught her scratching at his homework. He could tell the teacher that his cat wrecked his homework!

When his dad saw the mess, he was quick to scold poor Winnie.  They didn't need beds getting destroyed and making more angry ghosts!

Sometimes a couple just needed to get away for a little bit.  Sneaking off into the bathroom worked good enough for Tetris and Nicole.

Reversi invited over a few boys from school.

She enjoyed being a flirt and there was no harm in it!

Of course, she also enjoyed the stuff that she & BJ did together.  ALOT! 

There was no reason they couldn't all be friends!

Q-bert was interested in making friends, too.  He greeted Randi as he walked by and soon discovered they had a lot in common.

Q-bert didn't mind his big sister crashed his get together with hopeful girlfriend Nerissa & new best friend Randi. 

Oh yeah, Nerissa was into him, big time!

It seemed that Reversi had an eye for Randi, too.

The foursome hung out, getting to know each other better and subtly flirting.

Finally, Nerissa stood up and yawned.  "I think it's time for me to get home."

Q-bert screwed up his courage and kissed her goodbye.  "See you later," he told her lightly.

Nerissa beamed.  "See you tomorrow!"

Randi stood, as well.  "I'll walk you home," he told her.

"Good job, little bro!" Reversi grinned as she congratulated Q-bert on his first kiss.
