Chapter 22 (Urias) - In Retrospect, He Should've Stayed Home

Without a trace of guilt, Samantha was the first person Uries called when he moved into his new home.  He'd debated leaving his brother's home and had finally decided he could use some space of his own.
Maybe he would see her at work.

Uries adjusted his tie and headed into work.
Of course he missed the welcome wagon.  He's not home ladies!

Oh plumbbob, he is in desperate need of friends.  Perhaps moving out on his own wasn't such a great idea after all!

Thankfully Samantha came home with him.
He debated making a move on her.  She was over all the time and numerous times, he'd caught her blushing when he looked at her.
He threw caution to the wind and kissed her.
The attraction was mutual and he was ready to ask her to move in with him.
Then he paused, thinking about all the people he would be hurting.  Innocent children's lives ruined.  There just wasn't enough space for all those kids in this tiny efficiency.  And he could never ask her to leave them behind.

It hit him in a blinding flash that this romance was doomed before it'd even begun.
Uries hugged her, apologized and told her they needed to be friends.

Lonely. So lonely being alone in this house.  Uries built a snowman to talk to.
Another drawback was there wasn't much to clean.  In retrospect, he should never have moved out.
So he built another snowman and had it battle the first snowman.

He was glad that he and Samantha were still friends despite the awkwardness the other night.
He made dinner, making sure to use every pot and pan and spill as much as he could on the stovetop for something to clean.
"We'll be best friends forever!" Samantha told him happily.
"WHOA! What are you doing, Sam?!" Uries yelped, caught offguard when she tried to shove her tongue down his throat.
Did you just push a pregnant woman?!
"I told you, we're just friends!"
"But... the other night... that kiss..." Sam stuttered, embarrassed to have thrown herself at her coworker and to be rebuffed in such an extreme manner.

After asking if they were still friends (to which she replied, 'yeah sure'), Uries said goodbye and headed to bed.
At this point, I should point out that since Uries lives alone and cannot go to a community alot alone. He was stuck at home. In my mind, I made the stipulation that he could only use the education bookshelf at the school until journalism is unlocked. Because what better place to read than at a school? Edukashun is good, yo!
So, he began greeting any passerby, desperately searching for a true love.

Marissa is giving Rose the stinkeye for barging in on her one-on-one time with Uries.

They all enjoyed a nice meal, with Uries offering Michelle the Zombie a bowl.  "No thanks, I've eaten," she told him, making everyone feel a little bit awkward inside.

Uries told Marissa how pretty her pink dress was.
"Rats, she got away before I could kiss her!"

As he needed 10 friends, Uries was social with pretty much anyone that walked by.

I said social, not nice.

"Anyone who believes that is a fool!" Goopy said patiently.
"Are you calling me a fool?" Uries snapped.

And despite this harsh looking exchange, they actually wound up quite friendly towards one another.

It was nice that his family came by to visit him, Uries thought happily.  Had he mentioned that it was really lonely at his house?
He especially missed his niece and nephew!  It looked like Tetris had inherited his Uncle's stinkface!
Just a nice, quiet, uneventful family dinner. Exactly was neat and orderly Uries needed!

At night, after his family was gone, he invited friends over.
It was time to cement these friendships and possibly make a move.
Apparently Juan wants Marissa for himself.  Uries just flirted with her when Juan jumped in and offered up a blind date.  No thank you.  (I wish I could have accepted, actually! Poor Uries needs to meet some new and exciting peeps!)
Jane looks like she's harboring a secret crush on uries.  She looks sad to see him flirt with Marissa.
See? Juan just wants Marissa for himself.  Awkward!
"GET OUT OF HERE KAYLYNN, YOU HEART BREAKER!" It's ironic that he actually has 2 bolts with Kaylynn. But, she blew her chance when she broke his brothers heart!

"I'm sorry, warn a guy before he opens the door and you jump at him."  Oh plumbbob Uries. You're hopeless.
Marissa rubbed his back.  I would have thought he should have been rubbing her shoulders after failing to catch an unplanned leap into arms.
But that spur of the moment move cemented the deal.

Uries was a little slow on the realization that they were in love.  And immediately rolled a wish to fall in love with 2 people because he's a closet (2nd Aspiration) Romance Sim.  Geez Uries. I could barely find you ONE love right now! Cool your jets!

That's right. Blame him!

  1. haha, looks like Urias is getting more than he bargained for! Took him long enough though, maybe if he didn't give every sim he met that 'death stare' they'd think he was a bit friendlier!
At least he won't be lonely anymore!

    1. I agree. His personality can be quite severe! Marissa was leaping at the chance to be his spouse, though! lol

  2. I still don't get the "No books until Journalism is lifted" rule, but I highly respect it! You are amazing to get them skilled up without it! WOW!

And now that he's not alone, he can go to the school and read in the only place it's allowed, or go to community lots and clean up after people. Is Marisa a slob, I hope? Too bad you don't get cleaning points for picking up poopy diapers and stinky bottles.
