Chapter 22 (Vito) - The House Feels So Empty!

It was with a mix of relief and sadness that Vito said goodbye to his family members moving out.  The taxi pulled away slowly, driving around the corner and pulling to a stop nearby.

The house was so EMPTY now!
Right in front of the shower wasn't the best place for Sake to take a nap.
Now that he didn't need the cleaning skill, Vito was able to run around the house and repair all the broken plumbing.
Go get 'em Tiger!
Since Meadow was still working hard on topping her career, Vito figured it was his turn to stay home.

Without the work distractions, he was also able to focus on his sweet little Sookie!
Meadow works on her job skills.
Tetris works on his homework that Uncle Urias assigned him. No favoritism in the school house, he thought with a groan as he worked on problem solving.
Sake, you're not supposed to be up there, but you're so cute I'll let you stay!
The family enjoys a meal together for the first time in ages.  Little Sookie drank her milk nearby while Sake waited for potential leftovers.

What the heck random frozen lady! I caught her kicking over Urbain's trashcan, too!

Happy Birthday Sookie!

"Are you awake?" Tetris asked.  "I'm bored!"

Sookie groaned.  "I'm sleeeeeeeping, Tetris!"

"But I'm bored! Wanna hear a ghost story?"
Boys.
Vito was pleasantly surprised when Vivi dropped by for a visit.  He missed his cousin so much, but knew she was happy with Melissa and child Tesira!
"Auntie Vivi!" Tetris cheered, running in to see his favorite Aunt.  His Mom had tried to explain before that she was actually his first cousin once removed, but it had confused him.  So, finally Vivi just said to call him Auntie.
He excitedly told her all about his new schoolwork.

Training Sake to use the potty was going remarkably well.

Vito thought that it might be good to find a mate for little Sake.  "We can call you Fifi," he said. Obviously the cat did not like that name and bolted.
"Sorry Sake, better luck next time."  He stroke her fur.
The siblings took turns terrorizing each other.
All in good fun, of course.  When you grew up together all the time, it was easy to be the best of friends.

It was nice having everyone in the house again, although their family had grown much larger over the course of time.  There were many new faces among the mix.
Happy Birthday Vito!
"Happy Birthday, sweetie," Meadow said, congratulating her husband.

Happy Birthday to Tetris, too!  He slept in and missed the cake.  His parents didn't even save him a slice!

Maybe this tuxedo cat would stick around. Nope.

Tetris can't wait to start earning money.  He signs up for a job in the newly developing architecture field.

This is a rare treat for the family!  They've never had stuffed turkey before!

Vito escorted his children down to the schoolhouse so that they could work on their lessons.
Tetris just hung out with the teens all afternoon.
While Sookie played with the kids her age.  It was nice for the siblings to get a little bit of a break from each other!

Finally Vito found a cat that wanted to be adopted. Kobe was the perfect mate for Sake!  Even their names matched!
Now they just needed to see if the two cats liked each other!

  1. Good for Vito giving up his job to spend more time at home. Meadow seems to be doing well.
Yay for birthdays and parties. Tetris going for architecture! Nice.
Sookie is a sweetie isn't she?
Great to have all the family over for a catch up.
It'll be nice to have kitties in the house after all the puppies!

    1. It's nice when the elders have lifted a restriction. A certain amount of pressure for them to succeed is lifted, too. lol Let's go Meadow! Journalism Try #2!
Sookie is a cutie. She definitely takes after Meadow! Kittens on the way as soon as those crazy cats like each other! lol

  2. "Wanna hear a ghost story?"
This reminded me so much of my nephew. I have to tell someone this, so I'm going to tell you.
When he was just learning how to talk, he decided to tell a scary story. It went like this: Onceatime, a GHOST!
It was the first inkling he showed of his supreme gift for brevity.
In fourth grade, the assignment was to write examples of different types of sentences.

    "Write an interrogative sentence."
    "Why?"
    "Write a declarative sentence."
    "No!"
    "Write an imperative sentence."
    "STOP!"

Oh, golly, but I love that boy. I keep wanting to set up a sim story so that I can include someone doing that, but I have yet to encounter a sim child that can compare to him. So, I'm reduced to bragging to random strangers on the internet.

OK, back to reading now. Thank you for accepting my off-topic interlude.

Oh, these kids are really cute, too, by the way. I have to say, you've had good luck with genetics and character. None of your kids are boring. And even when they are mean, they are not "Ugh! BRATS!" sort of mean. They're still likable. I still love Vivi and Wasabi, after all. Like Camryn said, after listing the bad qualities. "What was I saying? Oh, yeah! She's a really good woman."

I miss Camryn, too. She was a really good woman. So much patience.

    1. Lol. That's an awesome ghost story. I told my daughter to write her grandma a letter once. She came back and put a piece of paper on my desk that said "A". Kids!

  3. What a nice chapter. We needed that sweetness after the tragedy. And I hope the cats do breed! Kobe is my favorite of the pre-made kitties.

I like that you still have zombies as a turn-off. I mean, yeah, they can be friends with the zombies, and should not be bigoted towards them, but they cannot breed with them, and when you need children to carry on the family and lift restrictions, it's best to be attracted to people with whom you can breed, and not waste your attraction on people with whom you cannot breed. If there were a simple "attractor" called "Fertility" that would be wonderful! Sims who hate children could be extra attracted to infertile sims, and sims who want children could be extra attracted to fertile ones.

I wonder if there's a mod for that?

    1. I haven't seen a fertility. But I have altered turn-ons that I found on MTS. I love it. Takes out some of the useless turn on/turn offs!
