Legende Interlude

The trailer was exactly as he left it that one fateful night, Andres thought as he stepped inside.  Even a plate of old, moldy sandwiches remained on the countertop.
I won't be eating that anymore, he thought, dumping the plate into the sink.
These brain drinks were tasty!

He dialed her number by memory.
Andres wasn't surprised when she said she'd be right over.  They had that kind of connection.
He tugged her into his arms.  Now this he had missed!  He lost himself in her romantic embrace.
Once inside, he tried to recall line for line the words he wanted to say to her. Something about being together forever, a clever pun about them being undead.  But when he reached for her hand, he couldn't remember a word.
Winging it, he dropped to his knee and held up the ring.  "Marry me!" he simply said.
Gretchen was ecstatic and immediately agreed.  Somehow when he'd called, she knew this was what would happen today. They had that kind of connection.
They made it official moments later when they slid rings on each other's hands, careful not to break off a finger.

But as time wore on, it felt like more and more the same thing.  Quiet nights spent at home, playing chess.
Boring dinners of Instameal Brains.

Despite getting hired as a waitress over at the Diner around the corner, Gretchen had literally couldn't boil water.

The only thing that broke the monotony was when he went to work.  They'd reinstated him and he was determined to reach the top, just for grins and giggles. He certainly had enough time now that he was undead.
Then, he noticed one of the perks of being a legend.
Girls stopped to talk to him.
Even the Zombie chicks dug him.
They literally fell all over him trying to snag his attention.  It was like when he was in college.

Then he remembered the one that got away.  Things had certainly changed in his life since that fateful night.  He started with "You may not remember me" and she hadn't.
But she was game to fly over and meet him.  Something told him she needed something to kill the monotony in her life, too.

    1. Lol. Well, he is a Romance Sim! He apparently got bored really quickly! Plus, his turnoff is Zombies, so now that Gretchen is a Zombie, he wasn't as into her. Oh the tangled webs we weave!
